The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for Vology’s Financial Reporting team. The Manager of Financial Reporting will be hands on leader, focusing on the accuracy and integrity of the reporting, in addition to directly managing the team to achieve challenging departmental objectives. Additionally, the Manager of Financial Reporting will focus on the talent of the reporting team, focusing on developing, managing, and mentoring our team of Staff Accountants and ensuring the productivity and professionalism of the team.



  • Manage and develop reporting team to achieve challenging departmental objectives.
  • Ensure transactions, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries are GAAP compliant, researching as needed.
  • Complete month-end close, including preparing internal and external financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Oversee bank reporting, including financial statements and covenant calculations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and policies to streamline reporting for continued growth.
  • Perform financial reporting and analysis and partner with leadership on strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare annual budget report and Rolling Forecast including meeting with department heads monthly to provide regular updates.
  • Partner with external third parties for audits, including preparing audit scheduled and annual valuations.



  • CPA required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

  • Demonstrated progressive experience in public and/or private accounting is required.

  • Demonstrated leadership roles in Accounting, including managing employee or project goals, objectives, and timelines.

  • Have advanced experience with Microsoft Excel and Financial Software. Previous experience with FinancialForce is preferred.

  • Ability to lead, manage, train, develop, and motivate a team of Accountants.

  • Ability to build relationships internally with leadership in multiple departments, and externally with banks and auditors.

  • Ability to dive in and take ownership of an issue, investigating variances, identifying the issues, and resolving them to completion.

  • Have a strong sense of urgency and time management to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Have a strong attention to detail to verify accuracy of information.

  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
